Patio Design & Installation

This project began with the removal of an original concrete patio that dated back to when the home was first built. The goal was to replace it with a larger, more inviting patio that could support everyday use as well as entertaining. Our team designed and installed a new natural stone patio that dramatically expanded the usable outdoor living space while improving both comfort and visual appeal.

Natural Stone Materials

To achieve a warm, organic look, we used natural stone products from Oakville Stone in the Sagebrush color range. These tones complement the home’s exterior and surrounding landscape while providing timeless durability. Natural stone was selected not only for its beauty, but for its ability to age gracefully and withstand Indiana’s seasonal conditions.

Custom Fire Pit with Natural Gas

A focal point of this patio is the custom fire pit, crafted from a single piece of Beam Rock. The fire pit features a sleek linear burner and is fueled by a professionally installed natural gas line, offering reliable performance and easy operation. This feature adds year-round functionality and creates a natural gathering point for relaxing evenings outdoors.

Landscape Lighting Enhancements

To extend the usability of the space into the evening hours, landscape lighting was installed around the patio and along the front of the home. The lighting enhances safety, highlights architectural features, and adds ambiance, making the outdoor space just as inviting after sunset as it is during the day.

Functional Outdoor Living Layout

Although the side yard presented a tight footprint, thoughtful design allowed us to create two distinct outdoor living zones. One area is dedicated to dining, while the second provides a comfortable space for lounging around the fire pit. The final design delivers approximately 420 square feet of functional outdoor living space, proving that even compact areas can be transformed into highly usable, beautiful environments.
