Outdoor Living Design Goals

The Eagle’s Nest Project began as a full-property landscape renovation. The homeowners wanted a complete refresh of their exterior space, along with a significantly expanded patio to better support entertaining and relaxation.

Demolition & Site Preparation

Our team removed all existing plant material surrounding the home to create a clean slate for the new landscape plan. We also demolished the outdated concrete patio slab, allowing us to redesign the space from the ground up with improved layout and functionality.

Patio Design & Installation

We installed a new curvilinear patio layout that more than doubled the original patio’s square footage. The sweeping lines soften the backyard and create a more natural transition into the surrounding landscape.

The homeowners specifically requested space for three key elements:

• A larger dining area

• A designated space for their portable fire pit

• Room to hang and enjoy a large hammock

The patio surface was constructed using Belgard Lafitt Textureguard pavers in Danville Beige, bordered by a 4×8 Holland Textureguard paver in Gascony Tan. The combination delivers warm, natural tones with subtle contrast, enhancing the overall aesthetic.

Industry-Leading Base Installation

All patios we install utilize an open-graded base system, as shown in the construction process photos. Unlike traditional compacted aggregate bases that retain water, an open-graded system allows water to filter through the base material, improving drainage and long-term performance.

This method represents the evolving standard within the hardscape industry, offering enhanced durability and structural integrity for residential patio installations.

Landscape & Property Transformation

With the expanded patio footprint and refreshed landscaping, this project transformed the entire backyard into a functional retreat. The new design provides ample room for dining, lounging, and gathering, while significantly elevating the property’s curb appeal and long-term value.
